Hey, try not to feel so down, I know times are hard but things can just as quickly turn around. Just keep trying and don't give up and although there's a recession something is bound to come your way.
Just keep an open mind about the jobs you're prepared to do and hopefully it won't be too long. The more you stay positive and focused the better chance you have.
Good luck, let us know if something comes along x xHanny:easter_ba0 -
Chin up! Things can only get better!
Don't waste your energy on worrying about what may happen. Focus your energy in finding your next job. Remember it doesn't have to be a perfect job either! You have already had some interviews! And that's within 2 weeks!
It's all about positivity, take your mind off waiting for interview responses by going out and simply walking, work out if you work out, concentrate on other things. Take up a new hobby!
Stay Strong. You are not alone! Everyone is in this together!
Good luck!! x0 -
You never know whats round the corner. You could end up in a much better job with more money! Keep positive!
I'm in the same position as you and I know its difficult but I'm sure you'll be fine

Things will get better. Chin up!
I got made redundant in August, temped at a company in October and have been there since. Last week they offered me a perm role (apparently they'd been meaning to offer for ages but the department was going through a restrtucture) and I'm now earning 6k more than my last role. Even temping I was on a good hourly rate (more than my last than my last job!).
As jacklink says - one door closes, another door opens (my gran loved that expression!).
Try to remain positive. I bet you are not as old a me where jobs are even harder to come by but you have to be realistic and take anything.
I'm on my own with a mortgage also, but you've only been redundant for 2 weeks - I was redundant for 2 months and had to pay my debts as well.
Stay positive!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014

Sounds definitely like you're doing well having interviews within just two weeks of losing your job. You're doing better than me, I lost my job in August and still looking, no interviews even! Sounds like you stand a good chance of getting something soon owing to you getting interviews already. Have you looked into all the benefits etc. you can get to help you out until your next job?
I agree with the hobbies thing as well. if you can take your mind off the money side for even just a day or two, maybe there's some things you've wanted to do but not had the time whilst working? I'm currently doing a major clear out of stuff in the house which although not major fun, it's nice to think positive that you've got things sorted out before returning to work again.
If you're really worried about mortgage and debt payments, your local CAB might be worth a try, mine was very friendly and supportive.
Hope that helps you feel a bit more positive
