Just send it back with NOT AT THIS ADDRESS worked for a friend and they soon got the message :j
If the debt was in 2003 and we are now in 2009 can you not just wait for the actual 6year date? I would! Only you can decide what you want to do we are here to give advice (maybe not so much in my case) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'll try ignoring this second letter as I'm hoping to hang it out until we know the six years will be up. We moved here in 2003 (Nov) and we certainly haven't heard anything in all that time.
If a DCA starts to get heavy i would suggest sending the "prove it" letter. They need to prove the debt is yours - you don't need to prove anything. If they phone to confirm details such as previous addresses or date of birth, just tell them you don't give out that kind of information over the phone and refuse to answer any security questions.
Do you know when the last payment was made to the debts?
Also, any letter you send to a DCA should not have your signature on it. Print or type your name but never sign.
