of sick.
This morning my DD was in a bad mood and cried herself sick (nice!), I washed the carpet straight away using detergent... which didn't take the smell away... next I sprayed it with air freshner which didn't take the smell away... next I put dry bicarbonate of soda on it waited 15 mins and then hoovered it up - it still stinks.
My final attempt is a paste of bicarb of soda and baking powder leaving it on all night and hoovering it off in the morning. The room that she did it in (her bedroom) absolutely stinks of sick and obviously now she is in bed I can't do anything else to it - but when I have been in to check on her the room is overpowering with the smell.
Do you have any suggestions of what else I can put on it to get rid of the smell - its just so disgusting I can't tell you.

There's an older thread with some tips. I'll merge your post with it in a minute. Hopefully there will be something useful in there. Also, if you use the search facility, choose 'advanced search', titles only, type 'sick' it will come up with several other threads, all with the same unfortunate problem!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I always used to rub bicarb into those little blobs of babysick on my shoulder when I couldn't change!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

We did bicarb and white vinegar but it still left a lingering smell. Bought this stuff from Robert Dyas called Carpet Power - they do a whole range, lovely lavendar smell but better than puke! That, water, scrubbing brush and elbow grease brought the carpet up a treat. The carpet was stained before cleaning with this stuff because DS had had chocolate milk - lovely!0

Yep, works wonders....
Bicarbonate of soda, make a solution in water and use that to clean.
I also soaked an area with it and then left it for a bit before moping up, just to make sure it soaked right through to the underlay.
Hope that helps and others agree0
