Asda self scan tills wont take any vouchers

Hi,
Just went to my local Asda branch and used the the self scan tills as I only had several items.
I had two coupons worth 25p and £1.00 but the till rejected both of them since they didn't link to any items in my basket.
Before the till used to accept any vouchers or coupons so is this the end to using any vouchers at Adsa ?
