Laptop for little sister...help?

Hey guys

My sister is 17 and as an early 18th birthday present my aunt is getting her a laptop today from Comet.

We are going up tonight but not really sure what to look for. It is mainly for schoolwork as she is doing her A Levels so will be buying MS Office at the same time. There isn't really a budget as my auntie is quite well off and just wants to get her one that will last her at least into the first year of Uni (year after next). She likes playing on games like the Sims etc too so will need to be able to play on that but still be a decent speed unlike mine!!

Any suggestions? I think the limit will be around £1000 but thats a complete guess.

thanks xxx
