I got mine early today in Plymouth, we had a choice of about 6 colours, I chose the pale blue option and hubby the deep pink.

I think the pale blue would have suited him better. Only joking!! Told my sister who is working in Bristol today but unfortunatley the Tie Rack in Broadmead is now closed down. Congrats to anyone who got one.
  • I got one from Westfield at about 1130am - they only had brown, black, pale blue, baby pink, bright electric blue and cream -- none really my colour but got one for my sister. Good for a freebie so I'm pleased - don't think it's worth £19.99 tho!
  • have to say I never wear pashminas though - maybe I'll start now!!

Got mine from Plymouth today, rose pink. I asked the manager if it was okay for hubby to get one and she said yes as long as he put a different address on the voucher, so he got me the baby blue one.

When I went in the Nottingham store this morning, they had lots of the 19.99 ones in lots of lovely colours but wouldn't let people have them, they said all the offer ones had gone and the nice coloured ones they had in the shop were not the ones included in the offer.

Birmingham Bullring had sold out at 11am when I went......man at till looked at me like I was there a year too late!
  • Well I have had a fantastically satisfying day, which started off brilliantly, thanks to the Telegraph offer!

Like lots of others, the store I went to had people queueing from opening time - but I had factored in for that, after all this is a £20 wool pashmina being given away with a £1.60 newspaper! Everyone was polite - the lady behind me even held my Telegraph whilst I ripped the coupon out! But yes, there were bold people who were grabbing two or three scarves. Most had brought hubby or a friend with them so there was one-per-body though; so don't see how you could complain.

I thought the pashminas were absolutely fantastic for a freebie. The store I went to seemed to be offering far more than 10 colours - I saw lovely pale green ones, chocolate ones, and three different shades of pink. I chose a dusky pink one and I adore it. It is thinner wool than the Tie Rack pashmina I already have, but we are coming into summer and you don't want to be trussed up in a blanket! For a summer shawl, it is perfect and the quality is just fine - don't understand why people are looking a gift horse in the mouth.

I then went on to an outlet for bargain shopping, and did extremely well - £290-worth of designer goods for a ridiculous £30. I came back laden with bags, felt like the character in the Confessions of a Shopaholic movie!

Good thing I don't do this too often! :A

got 2 today - i got a black one which i am keeping wrapped up to take on honeymoon with me, and a dusky pink one.
I wouldn't have paid £19.99 for them, bot for £1.60 and the petrol, not a bad find - thanks OP!

  • ohhh you did have a good day mademoiselle, we got ours at 9am, was about 10-15 people infront of me, when the shop opened, it was crazy, people grabbing everything and phones ringing non stop asking if they could be put back and weather they had stock in. i went to get another paper, by the time i got back, some colours were sold out! that was 9.20am. so maybe totally gone by 10.30.

I wouldn't hold your breath. I rang the Manchester airport branch yesterday to check they would have stock. They said yes but neglected to tell me that the airport was redisigned six months ago and the shops can only be accessed by passengers.

I phoned the Trafford Centre branch; they said they had about 100 left and about 100 people queueing for one.

Piccadilly had already sold out. This was all before noon.

I went to the Bluewater Tie Rack just before 2pm and managed to get myself 1. It will make a nice part Mother's Day present! :D There were still quite a lot left then...
