I'm not 100% sure here (Is Donteatthat around? She'd know) but a bone graft will only be of use if it's good bone being grafted. If you have poor quality bone at the usual donor sites, then a bone graft won't work.
There are bone matrix products that can be used - these are based on cow bone. They might work. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Thanks Toothsmith - it's something I've got to look in to. The first I knew about the problem was I went for dental implants after years of partial dentures. They were actually put in, but failed immediately and were taken out again within weeks. The dentist then said that my bones were like bubble-wrap! I did get my money back, but the drilling seems to have made the bone problem worse.Always look on the bright side of life ....la la la la la la la la0
