Need to know if this e-mail for home business is legit!!

Today i found this advert saying "300-500 a week for home business". Naturally i was intrigued by this as i am a 17 year old looking for a bit of cash to spend so i sent an e-mail off to ask for more info. Now i realise a lot of these home businesses are risky etc but i just wanted to know if this e-mail had any sort of creditability and whether i could take it further:

It's a pyramid scheme. You start off by sending them money, and in return you have the right to recruit people like yourself, and charge them a fee. The essential piece of equipment you need is not a computer but a barge-pole.0
