Oooh, you've booked St Audries - very nice. I've had a few friends get married there and it has always been fantastic

Not sure if you're able to get to Somerset often, but over the next couple of weeks I think a lot of venues are having wedding fairs. They're not great for much apart from getting contacts for local suppliers.
One of the photographers I was looking at in the area is Martin Smith (I don't know him, met him at a fair) - not sure if I can put the website on here but feel free to PM me for details. Haven't booked him as I found a friend of a friend to do them but his stuff looked really lovely.
Good luck with the planning!!Nobody I'd rather be

Thanks for your help
A lady has contacted me who used to work at the venue and has recommended a Photgrapher and places that can do my hair on day so that is good.
I need to get the invites done this weekend, can anyone recommend on-line stuff, I was thinking of Vista Print but not sure what the quality is like, otherwise I may just get them in Clintons. I want something nice but not too expensive, as I will have to get placecards made up as well.
The venue have provided a lot of useful info as well. I will need to include local B&B and hotels close by as well, because we will require more than 22 rooms that the venue provide.
I am going dress shopping tomorrow, and hope they will have good sizes, if I am not successful would it be pushing it to get one from Landy Bridal I sent them an email and they quote 30 days to make it and have it delivered. YIKES.
Also if anyone knows either a singer for the Ceremony, and possible good wedding band for the evening that would also be fab. It would need to be a band that could play a mixture of music and maybe some irish stuff for the older ones, as irish english guests.

Sexy Legs - pop into BHS as they have some lovely dresses in there, try your local bridal shops because they will start having their sales to see if you can pick up a dress.
Vistaprint isnt too bad, you have to watch that they dont put adverts on the back of anything you have from them and that you remember to say you don't want to join their VIP club otherwise they will charge. I get all my business cards from them and haven't had a problem and their delivery is quick too.0 -
We've bought all our invites in Clintons sale! £3.25 for a pack of 6 - they're really lovely and I'm very pleased with them.
I agree with Horace - BHS have some lovely dresses, or have a look at M&S.0 -
Have you looked on Great Universal / Empirestores for wedding dresses? They do some nice ones on there, plus may be able to get an order code and can also pay on account.
Also, try confetti.co.uk. They have loads of wedding accessories/invitations/favours etc. Are sometimes a bit more expensive, however their sales are generally really good.0 -
I have found a horse & carriage firm in Taunton.

Congrats - your wedding is the same day as mine!!
Dress - Debenhams. They were Fantastic... lovely styles, decent prices, delivered within a week and change from £300!
My bridesmaids dress came from one of the catalogues (cant remember which one), £80 and it is beautiful!!! Again, delivered within 5 days... I really have no idea how these bridal shops stay in business!
My Mum is very arty farty and has made the invitations (which I have to send out this week as we are starting toi run out of time) but we looked at M&S, Next and Clintons for invites which were all reasonable and perfectly nice.
Really cant help with Photographer... got a similar dilemma as H2B is a real whizz and takes fantastic photos, better than many professionals, so I have a real issue with paying someone!
Hair and make-up - try the local beauty counter in your nearest department store as they often do special make up packages, and try a couple of local salons for 'up-do's' as a trial run (should be around £20-£30) and forget to mention the W word as the price often doubles! Once you are happy, book yourself in for the big day.
Have fun - its a really exciting time!0
