SGE1, BBC apologised for getting their sums wrong on the APR question when I filled out the quiz about an hour ago. Maybe you completed it while the error was there? :rotfl:
CLS
No, unfortunately I can't use that excuse. The figure I came up with wasn't anywhere near any of the options, and even if the BBC was wrong, I was too.0 -

got the savings question wrong, lol. And the cc one
Snap! Although I wavered over the savings question and initially plumped for the right answer before changing my mind.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
You got 8 right!
Sterling effort
I think that just makes me an inspired guesser more than a financial guru though.!
I got the inheritence tax wrong, and the FSA savings guaruntee wrong (forgot they'd raised it, it used to be £35K didn't it?)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
What horrifies me about credit cards is that the laptop might last for 5 years but the debt lasts for nearly 20.
No wonder the economy has died.
The punters are being squeezed dry and turned into little slaves working for the banks, just like cigarette smokers work for the government.0 -
I got to question C, the interest one, and decided I'd rather do something else.0

You would have to be a complete fool to just pay the 2% min payment @ 18%APR.
Still, plenty of fools around the banks love em.0 -

Yep they must hate me who pays it all off by DD. Years ago a flatmate of mine bought some clothes and I said to her, but I thought you were skint? She replied I am but it's ok I put it on the card! They must have loved her (she's wiser now)0 -

Very true. I got my credit card limit reduced last month because I always clear the balance, they haven't earned interest from me in years. Someone from work, who keeps paying the min payment keeps getting the limit automatically increased.
We have the same banks also.0 -
9/10 got the savings rate wrong but my excuse is they didn't make it clear if it was the average rate over last year or for that moment in time!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

8/10 for me. Got the credit card one and the average rate paid on Jan savings wrong. I had an (educated) guess at inheritance, winter fuel and pension ones though.
I'm now reading about how Jade Goody is selling her death to the highest bidder. Turns out Gordon Brown has commented on the situation. I try to not slag off Mr Brown as a habit like people seem to do on here, but good god, he doesn't help himself does he?0
