"Colchester Borough Council, via its Sport and Leisure service, are happy to announce their participation in the free swimming programme for young people aged 16 years and under and those aged 60 years and over.
As part of a long term Government initiative free swimming will be available at Leisure World from 1 April 2009 for a period of two years until 31 March 2011."

The free swimming for children and over 60's is going to be at Clacton Leisure Centre too, from April.0

Some Local Authorities/County Sport Partnerships have opted for Pot 1 (over 60s), some for Pot 2 (under 16s) and some both both! Then Pot 3 is capital investment.0 -
"Juniors - Free Swimming for those aged 16 years and under - Tuesday and Thursday from 7.00am to 8.45am. Any adults accompanying juniors will be charged £1.00. "
