Child Maintenance Payments statement 0.00

I have for the last 7 to 8 years received this statement showing 0.00 due for my children, I am the PWC.

The first couple of sentences read:

This letter gives a summary of your child maintenance payments for the period from 17/08/08 to 14/02/09. We have looked carefully at your case and our records show that:

We worked out that ********* should pay £0.00 every month for

Child 1
Child 2

The total amount of child maintenance is £0.00.

I rang them today asking can this be looked at closely again as there is more income going into his lifestyle alone than I can earn blah blah.

I was told that my case was last looked at in 2003?

I was put through to someone else who said 2005?

On one of those dates an investegiation was launched and he came up as no income. (Funny that as he is always working).

Anyway I will come to the point, I was told today that my case has not been looked into since this time as I have not asked for it to be looked into????

So why do I get regular statements saying looked into carefully?

Thank you for your comments

The statement just gets printed off periodically - it doesn't mean anything has happened on your case at all. If you feel that his lifestyle is inconsistent with his lifestyle then you should apply for a departure, get it to fail (as it always does) and then appeal but you will need lots of evidence.
  • I have been down that route and went as far as ice I think that was what it was called, I was assured that they would continue every so often to look at it. I thought they were at least getting him to fill the forms once a year or so.

They don't get him to fill in the forms, they just ask him if his circumstances have changed, but to be honest it would take for you to chase it up if you want it done. They don't do periodic case checks any more - they rely on you to report a change.
