Jamie (Oliver) at Home

I have seen adverts for Jamie at home in the Express.
Details were https://www.jamieathome.com part of the jme group
not something id do but may be of interest to others0 -
This is genuine!
I read about it in the latest issue of jamie magazine(p.34), so it must be true
Here is the website:
Jamie at home
I love Jamie but IMO this will be hard to sell, his stuff is good but I think it's more of a novelty and it is quite expensive. Also, there's not much repeat business, I mean once you've bought good quality kitchenware you won't need to replace it
Good luck to anyone starting out, I'd love to hear how your first parties go

I was told they pay £15 out of every £100 you make but the stuff is very expensive so it is hard to sell. They are aiming for mums to do home party plans as a cheap option of selling the stuff via commission only.0

I'm not interested, but have also seen this advertised in Jamie's own magazine so it's definately legit.0

This is the same as Pampered Chef by the looks of it!0

Although at a Pampered Chef party the agent comes over and cooks a dish for you, using their utensils and cookware.
Jamie Oliver parties show you a DVD! Isn't that what BBC2 is for?
I won't be buying anything that awful Mockney puts his name to.0 -
Yes Pampered Chef looks like a better deal - anyone fancy booking a show??? lol0

It is legit, as well as my own home-based business (not Jamie etc) I run events (with lots of sellers etc) and one our the exhibitors at the next one is an Area Manager with JamieAtHome - I know her from a previous "Party Plan" business she ran very successfully and she sent me a catalogue - its quite expensive for some things (nowhere near most P Chef stuff which I love but can't afford!), some stuff is reasonable, some very reasonable, some too pricey - same as most companies. I think she said 45% of the catalogue is under £15.
Not sure if that helps anyone, but it is legit and yes anyone in a new business/party plan will have to find their feet but hey - give them a chance to! Lol!!MSE-ing since 20070 -
I am considering joining up, I currently do Virgin Vie but I've found recently that it's getting harder with them. (They've put the commission down, but other expenses are still the same )
I love VV but have found that I haven't made much money from it, in fact I think it's actually cost me more
I've requested some info on Jamie at home, and the basics are:
20% comission, NO delivery or hostess costs which to me makes it very appealing.
At the min if I do a VV party the sales are around £150 (sometimes more/less) I earn £30, I then pay delivery costs (£5-7) and hostess gifts (£6-9). That doesn't include any travel costs.
VV release catalogues 3 times a year which cost 50p a catalogue, so really I spend as much as I earn.
So I'm seriously considering Jamie at home and would love to hear people's views!
