Is there such a thing as a jobshare website?

Are there any established websites where you could advertise for someone in your area ,who does the same job as you,who might be preapred to share a full time job should a suitable vacancy come up?

I've never heard of one but what a great idea! Why don't you start one (and share the job of doing it of course!?)

This is a brilliant idea ! I am currently out of work and finding it difficult to find full time employment and would be willing to share a full time role as half a weeks salary is better then no salary. It would obviously increase your chances of finding employment by 50%. Maybe employers could advertise full time roles together with consideration for job share. Also another advantage would be that you would be working in affect full time when your colleague is perhaps off sick or on holiday.

The line of work I am in is a bit specialised, and I only want to do it part time because I am starting a business.

I am aware that many women (and men) have childcare commitments and would like to do a jobshare. Also sometimes people on working families tax credit can work part time and still get a reasonable amount of benefit.

I want to find a "twin " who will do half of my job which leaves me free to set up my business.
It would also benefit the employer,as in my line of work it's of great benefit to have 2 people doing one job-and assuming i found a competant TWIN" I AM SURE THE EMPLOYER WOULD WELCOME THE IDEA.

i SUSPECT THEIR ARE ALREADY SITES DOING THIS,BUT i DON'T KNOW WHICH ONES ARE WELL USED.oop sorry caps
