Phone call offering to reduce my debt

Hi, first of all I'm new here and not entirely sure if this is in the right place but here goes;
I keep getting telephone calls where the incoming number is withheld and it is just a recorded message asking me if I want to reduce my debts, the voice then says to press 6 if I am interested or to press 9 if I want my phone number removing from their list.
Do you think this is a scam or could it be genuine?

Got to be a scam I think or at the very least a fee charging dmp company.
Anyone who needs help reducing debts should use one of the charity dmp organisations CCCS or others or use the lovely people on this forum.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
As the number calling you is withheld, I strongly suspect a scam. Often if you reply to these numbers you find yourself locked into a premium rate call. If you need debt advice you are already in the right place, or contact citizens advice or a non profit making agency. This is purely my opinion or hunch.Debt September 2020 BIG FAT ZERO!
Now mortgage free, sort of retired, reducing and reusing and putting money away for grandchildren...0 -
eed help re debt then call one of the debt charities listed here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/debt-help-plan#help
If you need help re phone calls then try Ofcom and see whether they can deal with these blighters.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Or an IVA company.
The Information Commissioner had a warning on their site last year about unsolicited calls from these. :rolleyes:Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
