The Loan Supermarket - has anyone any info on these people?
My 19 year old son who is out of work recently (without my knowledge) applied to http://www.theloansupermarket.co.uk for a loan. They took £50 from his bank account and then turned him down for a £500 loan.
He applied for a refund (which they said he would get) and has faxed and emailed a copy of his bank statement. He's called a number of times and is now getting the run around! In the last call they said it took 3 to 6 months to process the refund!
Has anyone come across or used The Loan Supermarket?
I'm really annoyed about this practice and would welcome any help/advice. Not surprisingly there are no contact details on their site
Thanks!

Done a quick search and they're part of the Carter & Carter group.
I found this through the companies house :
THELOANSUPERMARKET.CO.UK LIMITED
1ST FLOOR, MANSION HOUSE
WELLINGTON ROAD SOUTH
STOCKPORT
CHESHIRE
SK1 3UA
Company No. 06369594Dave. :wave:0 -
Thanks for your reply!
Their domain name of The Loan Supermarket and the Carter and Carter Financial one is registered to:
Britannic Building
3rd Floor
115 Spotland Road
Rochdale
Lancashire
OL12 6PW
I have now contacted Trading Standards in Rochdale who are going to contact TS's in Stockport. They say my son is entitled to a refund, there are rules relating to this under The Consumer Credit Act.
There's something not quite right going on here though. All emails to these people bounce. Every phone call we make we get fobbed off.
My son has certainly learnt a painful lesson!Debs :j0 -
