Tax position while working in Spain

I currently work for an IT company here in the UK. I would like to move to Spain.
If my company let me still work for them while I live in Spain (via the internet) what is the income tax situation.
ie - Do I pay the tax for the UK
Do I pay the tax for Spain
Or do I have to pay both?

Comments

  • I work for a British company in Saudi Arabia and am paid tax free, although in the first year still have to pay NI which I also stop paying after 1 year abroad. To continue to get tax free pay I need to be in the UK for less than 90 days in each financial year. I suggest you talk to your firm to see if you can do the same but I see no reason why you shouldn't; however the firm I work for may have an 'understanding' with the UK government.
