I have a dmp with payplan and today while at work Apex credit phoned my home (husband rang me at work to tell me). Now, apex are one of the companies I am paying a debt to via payplan so why would the phone me at home?
Do I phone them find out what they wanted and tell them to deal with payplan or do I ignore the call and write to them to tell them to deal with payplan?

Personally I'd wait and see if they call back.
If they do, instruct them that PayPlan are in charge of your account, and they need to be contacting them with any correspondance.Capital ONE :£2,208.00 (£50.00 pm) . My creditors phone me occaisionally with things like Full and Final Offers or to see if I can pay more, one even calls just to check that I'm still happy to make payments at the same rate!
Usual advice is not to call and to only to write.
However as my DMP has been running smoothly, I'd rather just phone and see what they want - cuts out all the worrying about what they want. But I'm fairly happy being firm with them and if they get pushy I just tell them I'm ending the call and to speak to Payplan.
It's really up to how you feel about talking to them.LBM : March 2008

I'm on a DMP with CCCS and had one creditor ring me to ask if my situation had changed and I could increase payments.
I just told them that CCCS had my up to date income and expenditure and they should get the details direct from them. That was it.
It's possible it's just that kind of call... but even if pressured, don't give in and make any extra payments as it's not fair to your other creditors.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
