I`m amazed how some of you guys called the market right at the top! I had my doubts far earlier on that the market would crash. Had no intention of becoming an str but if I had, might well have bailed out around 2002/3. From what I gather over on HPC some did!
i put my house on the market in june 2007, sold it inside 3 weeks and the transaction completed in september.
however, this was nothing to do with me deciding things had hit the peak, and everything to do with me being so bored of living where i was (and growing deeply intolerant of living with my sister who owned the other 50%, and had moved her boyfriend in and told him he didn't need to contribute to the bills or pay any rent) that i decided to sell up and move back into a shared house with some friends.0 -
