How do I get into this........
Will be made redundant later this year and have wealth of experience (33yrs) successfully managing large sites and numbers of people with a process environment primarily in retail and fulfillment logistics.
I am very conversant with modern management techniques, communication, performance management and developing people as well as heavily involved in redundancy consultation and the people issues surrounding this.
Want to put these skills to good use and work for me have looked on websites reference Interim Management but havent really gleaned much. Have an appointment with the local Business Link representative in a few weeks anyone any advice as to how to get the first step on the ladder, sure from there on in its about networking etc.

We have used interims in the past through Penna who provide an umbrella organisation (for a price no doubt), as do many others.
But could be worth exploring such an arrangement for your first step as an interim rather than relying on your own networks.
I seem to recall that their interims were still self-employed but in some way retained, so mutually beneficial arrangement.
Hope it works out for you."Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" (Sir Winston Churchill)0 -
So Liz what fields do Penna work/supply in?It pays to challenge0

hi sabelu,
We used them in HR (my area) but I understand they cover a wide range of sectors/specialisms. They are also good for outplacement/career coaching.
Their website is:
