Stew in slow cooker

Following tips I have seen on here I have made a stew (with lentils to bulk it out).
It fills my 3.5l slow cooker completely and I would like to know whether it would be better cooked on high or medium.
thanks

Hi Trazy
The instruction leaflet on my big Morphy Richards one says the 6.5L has a MAXIMUM working capacity of 4.5L/8 pints, the 3.5L has working capacity of 2.5L/4.5 pints so it sounds like they are not designed to be filled to the top.
Maybe other members can give more advice on filling slow cookers completely.0 -
Hi
What sort of meat have you put in the stew and how many hours time do you need it ready in ?
I'd suggest putting it on high initially to get it going and then turn it down0 -
Hi Pollycat, sounds like i have boobed and overfilled it. Dont know whether to risk it or try and fish some out. What would you suggest please?
Sooty&Sweep, doesnt really matter when its ready i just want the best temp to make the meat (lean steak) nice and tender. Have started it on high and will turn it to medium b4 i go out in an hour or so.
Thanks for your help:T
