Decorated wooden spoon?

For St David's Day, my daughter has been asked to enter a competition at school by dressing a wooden spoon with a Welsh theme or making a Welsh themed hat.

I thought about painting a spoon in the Welsh colours and then adding a dragon but that seems a bit tricky when I'm not artistic.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

    How about this http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/wooden_spoon_dragon.htm
You could always add red and white rings on the tail or as flames or as decoration to the wings

  • You could try using 2 wooden spoons to make the Dragon, use one as the head and one for holding the tail, use two bits of paper to make the body by floding them over and making a long thin concertina (sp?) type body then making the head at one end and the tail at the other ?? urm if that makes any sense at all??? (not sure it does really sorry)

Or make the spoons into sheep? Lots of cotton wool? Or what about Welsh Love Spoons

You could get the spatula type wooden spoon and let your daughter decorate them?
