Quick bit of advice please,
Just got a blank (not the picture type lol) post card from wescot credit services addressed to "the occupier" asking to call them quoting a reference.
Should I call them or just ignore it?
Thanks

Ignore them
if they really have something, they will write again.
Probably a fishing expedition - sent to all people with the same name. Not really allowed but they do it.
And if they do contact you in name with a possible real debt, come back as it is more likely to be unenforceable than otherwise. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Ignore it - don't waste the price of a phone call
They are fishing, if they were that bothered they would take the time to verify that you are who they are after (if it is your debt) and write to you.
Don't be surprised if they show up or sart calling you. Just remember that THEY have to prove that YOU owe the debt and they should do the legwork to verify that you are who you are before they hassle you.
Do you think it might be your debt??
Oh and if they start being a pain in the @r$e and making threats you might find some of the letters at www.nationaldebtline.co.uk useful.
If they do show up they have NO RIGHTS whatsoever to enter your house.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Yep, ignore.
My ex OH made the mistake of ringing a similar thing and got bullied and threatened into paying a debt that wasn't his...we hadn't found this site at the time...
Just think how much money they make on a debt that they have bought for pennies that hundreds of people ring them and then get threatened and bullied into paying?
Totally ignore if you are sure it is not your debt. If they contact you again, post back on here.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
