Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I too have been fed up with the in the past, looks like a great deal but then they drip feed emails for the next few days until they have told you none of your order is actually going to be delivered.

I thought I would give them one more chance, order placed 2 days ago for 10 items, so far only 1 email received so I shall see!

Yes, their stock control is rubbish. I have already got 3 emails with out of stock items. i only ordered 5 things in total so don't expect to get anything.

I have had 5 of my 7 items cancelled this morning. Now I'll only get a coat for one of my boys not both. If they had none why take this long to notice or let me know?
  • Has anyone had their stuff yet? All I've had is 2 emails saying that 2 of my items are out of stock :-( Wish I hadn't ordered now.....

  • Hi liz-paul. I ordered 5 sale items on the 17th Feb using a new customer code. They were all baby girl and I got an instant order summary email for 5 items with pictures. Then on the 20th I received an email to say 2 of them weren't available (popular cheap, soft jeans and a very covetable cardi/coat!). I emailed the customer team to express my displeasure at their stock-control and got a polite email back (have since received an automated letter too).

I was worried as I thought the cancelled items would make my discount code (£10 off) invalid, particularly as one of my 3 remaining was happy price (not eligible for further discount). Fortunately 2 items came to just over £10 (at full price) so I had even less to pay overall once it had been calculated - double checked my account and it's worked.

After I'd received the first email cancelling items I did think it was a matter of time before they cancelled the rest as their stock control is so poor. Did anyone notice the offer posted on HUKD? Everyone went mad for it so I'm not surprised their stock has been depleted! I can't see the deal thread on there anymore (it had over 100 replies, people placing multiple orders etc.)

On the 23rd I received one item and on the 25th I received the second. 1-2 days prior I had received separate 'Update on your order' and 'Payment confirmation' emails for each item suggesting they would be with me in 5-10 days (in fact they arrived the same day/next day). The last one is due today/ tomorrow I imagine as I've just received the despatch email. Weird that they don't arrive together as one parcel.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!
  • I hate Vertbaudets

I fell for an offer in one of Vertbaudets catalogues recently which sounded like good value for stuff we needed anyway.

Spend £20 or over and get £10 off.

I selected 2 items totalling £20 plus £3.99 PandP (£23.99 minus £10 should be £13.99 to pay all in)

The order arrived minus one of the items which was listed out of stock on the delivery note (it was not even the item I had ordered either, it said Indigo Cardigan £12 when I had orderd a V-neck sweater for £7).
Now it was not good value at all - one pair of boys trousers for £16.99 (£13 plus £3.99 p and p)

I sent them straight back and have today received a bill for £3.99 Post and Packing. So now I will be phoning them to get try to get this cancelled as it was their fault the initial good value order has turned into ripping me off £3.99 for nothing GGGGRrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

    (rant over...)
