SMALL STEPS, BIG CHANGE is a new, green learning project here to help us all to drop old habits and adopt new responsible ones. Funding from Defra means we can work with National Trust staff, visitors, volunteers and members to take the small steps that all add up to reducing our impact on our environment.
All our projects aim not simply to challenge beliefs and change our ways, but to record, measure, and support those changes.
Switch on to our green choices programme - a range of projects helping us all to switch off, use less, use better, and buy more wisely. Activities include:
* The Great Bog Paint - brightening up our loos and reduce our water bills.
* The Energy Drop! Scheme - our objective is to cut energy use at our properties by 10%.
* The Greening Base Camps - making our basecamps more environmentally friendly.
* The Small Steps, Big Change Roadshow will be launching in March.
