  • I would happily use all of the above, the spices are likely to be not as powerfull as when bought, but thats about it.

  • Well, personally I would use all of them! Although probably not risk bread with the strong flour, use it in sauces etc. instead.

The spices may have lost some of their flavour so you may need to use more than you would otherwise for the same effect, but can't see a problem with using them up.

i don't bother with dates on dry ingredients :)
  • I used some peppercorns on Friday that were best before Sept 08 and I'm still here...;)
  • I've used dry goods that are about 2 years out of date before without realising till after and it was ok! Probably still using them now come to think of it :)

I would use all of them happily. Like a OP said the spices may not be a potent but will be fine to use. Just bear that in mind when you replace them- I finished a very ancient pack of chili powder and used the same ammount of new stuff in a chilli:eek:

I have just replaced a box of cornflour that we've finally used up - dated BBE Jan 02...... so I must have had it for about 8 years (and at least 2 house moves!)
