Barclays/Woolwich

Trying my best but like most on here struggling.
The majority of my grief comes from the nice people at Barclays. Just wondering if somebody can give me some advice.
I am currently paying a couple of hundred pounds extra a month on my mortgage as I missed a couple of payments. The Woolwich kindly agreed to let me. Anyway circumstances dicatated that I haven't been able to repay the extra £200 for the last couple of months (I thought with the interest rates going down I'd be ok - head back in the sand). Got a letter from their solicitors saying I have to ring them or they may start reposession. Got a bill fot £750 from their solicitors.
I'm going to ring them tomorrow, but I know the last time I rang them I mentioned that I had a stayed case against Barclays for £4000. They weren't interested and said it was nothing to do with them.
I was hoping during the current climate the bank may try and help. I could do with a three month holiday from my mortgage but daren't ask. I think they want me to change my mortgage because it's a tracker and I suppose pretty good for me at the moment.

Anyone offer me any advice on this one?0

You might be better off posting this on the mortgages board but I'm pretty certain that lenders don't allow payment holidays whilst there are outstanding arrears on a mortgage.

The most important thing is to only make a payment arrangement that you can afford & sick to it.
Wouldent think you will get a payment holiday if you are in arrears.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
