Watch Out! - Tesco 'Special Offers' not discounting at the Till!

I have been to my local Tesco this morning and I'm glad I checked my reciept after I had paid (always do) as lots of the special offers I had seen had not been charged correctly at the till.

For example, the Pantene Ice Shine Conditioner was BOGOF £3.22 ea, but I was charged for both, Maltesers Ice Cream bars were £2.44 ea, 2 for £3 but I was charged for both, etc, etc.

The staff at Customer Services were very helpful and gave me my money back, but it took some time and I know most people don't even check their receipts, so would be paying lots more than they should have done. They said that most of the specials aren't working today! I got back a total of £13.40 on my week's shopping.

Please check your receipts, folks!

This is my first time on this board. I have checked to see if this has already been mentioned but couldn't find it. Apologies if it has been.

Offers worked fine for me on last weeks shop at tescos, did self service checkout as well. Saved a few quid

Yes, I did.

I think the problem affecting nearly all the specials is new this week.

I got over charged yesterday but I've only noticed this morning. D'oh! Can I still get DTD?

yes - upto 28 days & at any Tesco store.

damn! no new special offers that interest me!- though don't relish the queing up to get the DTD back again and needing to explain Tescos policy to them!

I bought 2 bottles of schwepps diet lemonade tonight, sp offer of £1.50 for both, and did get that offer, so must be just sp offers starting literally monday as the schwepps one was on last week

In my experience not at any store if you get overcharged. I was sent back to the original store, & as it was 29 days after my purchase by the time I made it there, they refused to refund it. I never knew there was a 28 day policy around being overcharged.

Tesco Didcot today have Ben 10 figures buy one get one free....went through at full price. My first DTD, so I now have 2 figures for free - that's the next 2 birthday parties covered!! Thanks Tescos
