Defaults due to be removed

Hi all,
I wonder if anybody can help me, I have searched but I can not find an answer?
I have two default notices on my credit report, one is due to be removed in March and the other in June. I also have a settled account that is marked 'partially satisfied' as i came to an agreement with the lender. Does it take 6 years from when it was partially satisifed to come off my account?
I have a credit card that i have been using for the past year or so to try to rebuild my credit rating, I spend a little on this each month and pay it off in full.
I am looking to buy a house with my partner in the near future and wondered how long it would take for my credit rating to be adequate enough to be able to get a mortgage?
Thanks in advance

If it has a default that will come off after 6 years but the account details come off 6 years after its been settled."You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger
