Has anyone noticed the poor quality of water from their house taps??

In the Craigavon area it is very cloudy and not drinkable at all!!

I contacted WaterNI who will investigate in the next 2 days I have been advised!!

Fill a glass and let it sit for a minute. If it clears then it is air in the system and should be ok to drink, if it doesn't clear then be very careful with it.

  • I've noticed the water pressure is very poor, but the quality seems to be much the same as ever.

Want to live up here - water is so rank that when we took a sample of it in to PAH so they could get a true measure of what out tank water was like they checked three times that we had given them the right bottle:eek::eek:

Cooking dinner can be a nightmare, the amount of times Ive gone to put the water on the veg and its poured out brown:eek:

Well the whole area is being switched off over night tomorrow to be put on the new mains - hopefully that will improve matters. I will be kicking up huge stinks if the poor water qaulity continues once we start getting our water rates bill. Its a cheek to be charging for it when we have to buy bottled to drinkl

Just outside Ballymoney. Honest the water is vile. I work in a bar in the Glens and sometimes I shudder when folk ask for water with their meals - I certainly wont drink it

I have friends up in the glens and didn't notice their water being bad but that was a while ago I guess. I always thought it was fine in Belfast but went out for lunch today and they served tapwater that tasted like TCP  and this was in a cafe that prides itself on filtering the water...maybe something is up...

Re the filters BTW my friend did get one of these in central london and said it works a treat but I figure we don't need it so much here since we have soft water.

Well today is the big day, change of pipes day (if all goes to plan)

I poured a jug of water for someone to have with their Whiskey- looked like milk of magnesia when poured and hadnt changed much in the five minutes stand time.

But white is possibly better then the manky muddy stuff.:rotfl:

One thing that always gets me is it always appears to turn muddy the day after muck spreading:eek:
