Cheap B&B / Hotel to stay in Edinburgh

My fiancee and I are from Northern Ireland and are thinking about heading over to Edinburgh for a couple of days in May. We have never been and don't know anything about where to stay and how much we should expect to pay! Can anybody recommend anywhere in a fairly good location on a tight budget?

Hi try this website or Visit Scotland. I'm going on Sunday and staying at a guest house called Ardgowan, one of my colleagues is staying at the Arden. Details of both you'll find on the websites. Edinburgh is a lovely place and you'll find the B&B and guest houses most welcoming.

The airport bus service. When I used it last year it was £5 open return with one every 10mins! Bus stop directly outside the airport.

Hi i tried thiswebsite which was excellent thanks, yet the prices are quoted per room and clearly state this yet when i contacted the B&B they quoted the same per person. Does anyone have experience of this? I dont really want to create but it seems unfair.
