companies have rules and guidelines to abide by ,if they stray from theses they should be bought to book for there actions, just becouse some one has debt and may i add usually for a set period of time through unemployment, death ,marrige break up ,this does not give the debt collecting companies the right to break the law ,my advice report any wrong doing to oft,and other relevent agencys and folllow your complaint up ,also complain to the companies who have passed on your debt to these companies ,complain to your mp keep copies of all correspondence if they send you any or even reply to your letters, listen to your advisors with reguards to your debts dont be bullied by the debt collectors in to paying what you havent got ,try and record your conversations by telephone if you get continual telephone calls contact bt make a complaint of abusive harrassing phone calls and simple change your phone number if that fails and my rule dont pay door step debt collectors you dont have to there impotent ,if they cause you alarm on your door step call police and make a complaint....thats my view any wayps dont let these companies put you down some one can only put you down if you allow them to ..0

Hi
I had a call last week, from what I now know to be this company. Last week they asked me who I was and I wouldnt tell them until they told me who they were. They told me they were a delivery company holding a parcel for me. As I was waiting a delivery i wasnt suspicious. My parcel would be with me in 3 to 5 days. Got another cal today from them and its this company, is what they done legal and if not what should I do.0 -
Having read all the threads about this company and unfortunately now having to deal with them, only one thing is relevant... These are the lowest of the low, every conversation SHOULD be recorded without fail. The second they overstep the regulations (and they will !) you must make formal representation to the OFT and FSA.
Be under no illusions these are the scum of the earth and should be regarded with the very same distain as that they serve.
BTW::: for those affected by these vermin, check out grumbletext as it has some good advice, same as what you find here. Be warned though, staff at Capquest regularly contribute to all threads in order to change opinion and envoke yet more fear. The good news is that the OFT have now recieved so many complaints that these monsters in shiny suits are now under investigation.0 -

Martin,
There are currently millions of people in the uk being unfairly and in some cases illegally dealt with at the hands of debt collection agencies.
After the runaway success that is now the "Bank charges"reclaim train, would you please consider turning your spotlight on trying to clean up this awful industry involved with bullying and harrasing peole.
Your insight and know how would undoubtedly save millions of people a lot of anguish, stress and MONEY.....
I wait with fingers crossed.

I am having fun with CapQuest but lots of you are talking about rules, where can I get a copy of these rules?0 -
I have recieved a letter from Capquest requesting that I pay £800 for a debt.
I have asked them what the debt is for and they wont tell me. They say it could be for electrical goods or a loan from 2005, which I have never had any help would be very appreciated as Im really scared and have 2 young children to think about.
Thankyou0
