Moorcroft,citi And Cca

I had/ have a debt with Citi cards was passed to Moorcroft dca without any notice of assignment from citi.I was paying citi a reduced amount through a dmp wicth I done myself after being with a dmp company.
I sent for a cca from Moorcroft prior to xmas and on 29th Dec had a reply back from Moorcroft saying they were continuing to seek a copy of the cca. They asked me to send them any information i would be providing when giving evidence to the court ? This I did not do and I have not hesrd anything from them since this.
Should I have had a notice of assignment from citi saying they were passing this to Moorcroft?
Is this now unenforcable as the 12 + 2 days have long since expired?
What should I do now ?
Any advice opinions most welcome.cheers

  • Is citi at fault through not supplying a notice of assignment?

As they have not supplied a copy of a CCA , the account is in dispute . Send them the default letter , this gives notice that account is in dispute and no interest should be added and collection activity should cease
  • I was not sure about sending the default letter as I have read on here its best not to remind them and stir things up again

What the default letter does is to make plain that they are in default and attempt to stop them selling on the debt, menaing you have to go throught the process again.

We used to suggest wating until the 12+2+30 days was up, becuase then they committed a criminal offence, which was even more useful.

Now this offence has been removed, it is best to get the 12+2 letter out promptly

    That should be good enough

Why waste any further time typing up letters / postage fees when the letter your sent gave them 12 days.
