Boys Commuinion Outfit

Hi
Looking to help my niece ( single parent ) find an inexpensive outfit for her son to wear for his Holy Communion, most of the boys in his class will be wearing suits ( many made to measure )
Many people sell their daughters communion dresses so was wondering if any one had a boys outfit too sell ?
Failing that myself and my sister will buy him a suit but it seems a waste as he will not wear it after the Communion.
when I was young the boys used to wear their school uniform, which I think was good as they all looked the same, but now they all seem to dress up
cheers

Have you tried Sainsburys clothing section for boys suits. I got married in 2007 and didn't want to spend a fortune on my sons suits who were 4 and 8 at the time. Sainsburys were selling dark (they were either black or very dark navy) faint pinstrip suits which looked really smart. Think the trousers were £10ish and the Jacket £20ish - no one needs to know where it came from. I bought when the had 25% of their clothing and used my nectar points and think both suits cost me about £4.00 cash in the end. Very MSE!!
HTH2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Two of my grandsons have recent had their First Communion. I both cases all the boys taking part wore dark trousers and a white shirt (no jacket). I would check that the boys concerned have to wear suits!
If yes then charity shops are a good source for boys suits.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -
A couple of years ago ds1 needed a suit for a wedding and knowing he would never wear it again I decided not to spend a lot.
I went on ebay and got a new suit inc waistcoat, shirt and tie for under a tenner, and the seller was really good when I had to send it back for a smaller size
It was a cheap suit but he looked great on the day0 -
I thought boys traditional First Communion outfits were white trousers/shorts with white shirt and red tie

I do know in Scotland a number of boys now wear kilts.0 -
