~ towards Valli - my crystal ball helped me when I went on to a new deal 13 months ago with the same provider. The salesman tried hard to sell me a fixed price deal but I told him I thought rates were going down so I'll have a tracker please on daily interest. And I got one. With no collar. Has another 3 years ish to run but what I've pounded off the mortgage during these last few months will more than compensate for any small increases in the interest rates. They're not going to be putting them up very much I don't think for at least a year. Certainly won't go up to the ridiculous levels I was faced with at the back end of the 1980's - 16 per cent if I remember right.
I am failing spectacularly to fly this evening. Did the dentist (had a hygienist appointment booked to dovetail in afterwards ) after work. They were running horribly late and I was stuck in the surgery for well over an hour. Ended up seeing the hygienist before the dentist and didn't actually get home until gone 6pm.
The hygienist managed (bless her, it's not her fault, I just have very peculiarly sensitive teeth) to upset one which made the others start to winge in sympathy so I'm not feeling very happy at the moment. Also had to have an x-ray on one that's causing a little bit of a problem. Need to phone in a couple of days to see what it found - if anything.
So I'm having a medicinal Gordons - which is also a bit of a celebratory one because I can now go to the dentist, sit in the chair and let them do their worst and walk out without a tear or a smigeon of a tension headache. 18 months ago I was a crying, shaking heap the minute I walked in the door - they are very understanding.
And looking at the time, I think any serious flying can just go hang. I shall sort out the dried washing, put some more in the machine to wash, S&S the kitchen then go veg for the evening. I've been a brave Soappie and I deserve to veg.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Had to do the living room, hall, stairs and downstairs loo today instead of the master bedroom. But it is all sparkly so a star please Toots :j :j .
I've also cleaned some shelving that was in the back garden so it can go into the loft tomorrow.
My toolshed has come but one of the doors is cracked so they are sending a replacement so the conservatory is still full of stuff.
Have taken the kids to the indoor play area this afternoon so hopefully they will sleep well tonight.

GUAG has definately GUAFO!
I am in a slump, I tried the walk with the dog, you're right it's more like a spring evening, then DPs now gone to York for a meeting so have SLUMPED again. I've fed the kids. I think I might actually be tired as I've nearly dozed off a few times while sat on the sofa reading my books (yes OU books but not much going in!) wonder if I can get the boys to bed earlier and get a couple of hours before DP gets home/needs feeding......I wonder if it's because today was my room and it's such a tip I can't be fluffed? The kitchen was fairly tidy so suppose I was more motivated....
Pah, off to read some stories with DS2, catch you all later
Oh before I forget LL pleased to hear you are home, take it easy honey xOne day I might be more organised...........

Well done Soappie, on coping so well with the dentist, that's really great.
Since my last post I've had a long nap, got up, cried, had dinner, now watching WDYTYA and then going to have a bath as I....
Cleaned the really yukkky disgusting gross sickmaking bath and the cold bag.(DH put the creamy cold bag in there to soak last night and so the bath was full of gone of globs of cream which had gone moldy.) And did I get any thanks? Or any comment at all? This is why I need you guys!
I'm doing a bit better now, feeling a bit fragile but am recovering. I feel like I've gone through a major trauma! Normally I cope a bit better than this, I think it's cos I've had a virus for a month and now have a cold so am not coping with stuff very well.
Thanks so much for all your supportive messages and tips, you don't know how much it helps me
ETA: well done Casleigh, sounds like you are doing great. Make sure you congratulate yourself and acknowledge how well you are doing"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

soappie - well done on conquering your phobia of dentists. It makes a difference to go somewhere good. Enjoy your evening off.
casleigh - well done on sorting the oven out. That's a major job, and now you've dealt with the worst of it, the rest will come off if you wipe it down regularly
Can't be bothered to do any more... possibly because I'm cold. So off to find some food and get the house warmed up!
I need to get everything organised for work tomorrow before I do anymore flying, but I'm making progress with the study (contents of present box now packed away in new chest of drawers, some space made on the shelves by moving the hifi). There's room for one more shelf, so I need to go back to Ik*a sometime and pick one up, as that'll make a difference.
I really DO need to get to grips with some of the paperwork... I've just noticed that I haven't put in my last denplan claim, and it's now overdue. Oops...0 -
toochoosey - went to see "he's really not that into you" on weekend. It was great - not too mushy, but still chick flick with funny bits. Good cast too!
rosepink - well done! Am really pleased for you. One step at a time...
Have been at work all day but the good news is that my bedroom and landing is still in great nick as did all 3 levels last week so will just need a quick once over! Even managed not to dump stuff on floor!
Better go and make tea for LO's
Thanks for that but don't think it's DD's thing
Bloomin can't post..... 3rd time lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
