...value for money printer

Hi,

I need to buy a printer/copier/scanner.
Whhat one uses the best value for money ink cartridegs and where's best to get them? I have a printer but cartridges dont last 2 mins!!
I figure i find the cheapest cartridges and then buy the printer to go with it...
Any help/advice out there please?

I would suggest a laser. We used to have problem with heads getting blocked etc which wasted the ink. The toner cartridges seem to last forever on our laser and you can get them refilled. I don't know the normal cost though because we have a deal with a colleague!

Look on the websites that do toner cartridges for the prices, then look at the printers.

We've got an Epson and are very pleased with it, I think we priced the toner at about mid-range but it is a very fast printer.

Sorry - just full read your post - not sure if you can get these in laser, but scanners are not expensive these day's anyway and if one goes wrong you still have the other one.

I have a brother DCP 115. I think it cost about £40. Bought it last year. A set of all four inks from inkinablink or prink cost £8.95 inc postage. They last quite a long time considering all the cousrsework my teens print off. the ink cartriges only take a day or 2 to arrive. hth
