I wanna buy decent running shoes

Hi,
Hoping somebody out there can help.
I am looking for running trainers, one pair for outside and one pair inside.
Outside it will be mostly for running on concrete, no more than about 3 miles.
Inside it will be for running on a treadmill in a gym.
Only having to start running now hence me not having a clue what the best sort of trainers would be! Ideally I'd prefer not to spend more than about £50-60 altogether, so am maybe hoping for some good websites that have reduced price quality trainers.
Thank you

You'd be better off going to a shop and getting your feet measured, gait etc. to make sure you buy the correct shoes for your feet.0

If you can find the time to fish through old reviews in running magazines (runner world etc) say 1 yr old. Then have a look on a website like amazon. I found a review for some trainers that was good (and in my sort of price range), and i got them for 1/3rd of the RRP on amazon brand new.
It took time to find a good review from a reputable source, and then find a good price but well worth it in the end.Credit Card 6.9% - £0/£2800

ps; you really should find out if ur feet roll in/out before prchasing. Most running magazines will recommend for the type of foot position and the various price rangesCredit Card 6.9% - £0/£2800

I would recommend you do this. I used to work for one year in a running specialist store. They should give you a gait analysis which basically involves you running on a treadmill and they record your running style. From that they can analysis your running style and provide you with trainers that should correct your pronation ( assuming u need it otherwise they will bring you out a selection of neutral class trainers ).
Beware if you get your gait analysis done at a store, they usually expect you to buy a pair of trainers at their prices. I would recommend you go in with the intention you are going to buy a pair then politely say you are going to think about it. Look online once you get an idea of what type of trainers you need.
Im an moderate overpronator myself so I know exactly what im buying online. Much, much cheaper than buying instore. Another note to remember is that different running brands measure gait differently! So always be sure you've tried a pair on and they are comfortable before you purchase. Last thing you want to do is buy a pair going from what a magazine says and find they really dont agree with your feet.
I do run quite a bit so I tend to buy a new pair every 5 months or so. Needless to say, running can become costly! Good luck, any questions just feel free to ask!0% Credit Card [strike]£2000[/strike] / £1450 left

Thank you very much for all your helpful comments. There is a specialist running shop in Edinburgh that I plan to visit in a few weeks, but in Aberdeen where I am just now there is nothing similar.
So in the meantime I ordered these:

I think my feet are normal, no under or over pronation (but as I only discovered what the term meant before ordering the trainers I will need to get this checked by the specialist)
Anyway, I read a few reviews on the American Amazon of these trainers and they seem to be good, if they are not comfortable or supportive enough on I'll just return them.
Thank you very much for your helpful comments, and I will definitely take your advice on getting properly measured etc!0 -
Those are a good pair! You shouldnt have any problems with them at the gym, but if you find something doesnt feel quite right when your out running on concrete (especially if your doing 3 miles, say 3 times a week). Start questioning your trainers first! Oh and also remember to give some time to break them in too, wear them around the house initially. Happy running!0% Credit Card [strike]£2000[/strike] / £1450 left
