If I die, what happens to a child support debt?

My ex owes substantial child support arrears, for which has been granted a liability order. If something happens to me, and I die, does he get away with the debt or does the entitlement to the arrears pass on to the children directly?

Technically he still owes it, and whoever took responsibility to your children would be able to push for the enforcement of the debt. Or of course if he owed the money to the Treasury, they would still enforce it.
If he became the PWC to the children, if the money was owed to you/children - rather than the treasury - they may see this as sufficient grounds to not pursue that debt any further. but they dont yet have the power to "write off" debt.0 -
how sad to think this way, im sorry if you have a terminal illness, but the next best place for the children to live would be with there next surviving natural parent, therefore any csa payment would be (i would think) null and void, so to speak.
i hope you are ok
