Hmm, I phoned DVLNI and they said it was dependant on the registration docs. The car hasn't been registered before in NI, and she said something along the lines of, if I have the full Registration Certificate, I can simply fill in Boxes 6 and 8 and request a new NI reg and use the normal V10 tax form. If, however, I only have the "New Keeper Supplement" part, then I'd need to fill in another form which is, I assume, the V55/5?

I just hope there isn't a big queue when I go tomorrow, in case I need to fill in forms there and then...

I'm pretty sure you can get plates made up in any Halfords store. Not sure about the cost but cant imagine it being very much.
