hello, this isnt strictly moneysaving but thought some of you might be able to help. my little boy is 3 1/2 and bursting with energy. unfortunately there doesnt seem to be any activity groups or classes that he can take part in as he isnt yet 4. ( will be in july) im in downpatrick and have been asking around but everyone seems to have the same response, that he has to be at least four before he can join any classes. does anyone know of any exceptions to this? any suggestions would be great.

Is there any churches/community halls that do Mothers & Toddlers near you? I take my son to these kind of groups all the time - HTHThe shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0 -
there are but he's either at nursery or creche while these are on, i was thinking more things like football, dancing, games, i know these are usually on in the evenings or on saturdays but that isnt a problem"it's better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick" - my dad, regularly throughout my childhood when I complained about something being too small/not perfect/not tasty/not what I wanted. he was right every time.

What about swimming classes? You may need to go in with him though at that age.
Or Rugby Tots (www.rugbytots.co.uk) not sure if there is one near you - you can probably check online. The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0 -
Have you checked netmums.com for your area. If there is nothing advertised there, you can post on the site asking the same as you did here.0

Hi
My little boy is 2.5 and he has been going to toddler soccer on a Saturday morning for the last few weeks and really enjoying it. They run classes all over for 2.5 - 5 years olds. I found it on netmums. Really worth a look.Sealed Pot Challenge No. 2860 -
Contact Surestart in Downpatrick-based above the nursery school in Mount Crescent-they will give you details of activities-had been running a football group/rhymetime and lots of Mo and Toddlers. Also try local Leisure centre for activities such as swimming/Jujitsu etc Hope this helps!0

thanks bargainbabe, never thought of surestart, tried leisure centre and everything is for four/six years upwards, there is a musical monkey thing that he was at but didnt like it, might try him at it again. he did go to little kickers in killyleagh aswell but they stopped running it at the end of the summer as the coach injured her back. perhaps theyve got someone to replace her. will try them again aswell."it's better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick" - my dad, regularly throughout my childhood when I complained about something being too small/not perfect/not tasty/not what I wanted. he was right every time.

My son has just turned 3 and goes to rugbytots in Epsom, he absolutely loves it and comes out of the sessions with considerably less energy than when he went in! I'd also recommend netmums for stuff to do in your area0

while epsom isn't much use in Northern Ireland I have seen flyers for rugbytots in Norn Iron - toddlersoccer.org is running classes over the summer too at many different locationsNorn Iron Club Member #64
