Help!
Today I went to try on on wedding dresses - my first time, just to get ideas...
Well - I fell in love with a dress. It fit in all the right places (a few alterations needed but nothing major) - but it has an £800 price tag. It's the Alfred Angelo 1476 style.
We can't afford £800, but OH said we could stretch to £400 if I could find it for that price.
I popped home and looked on ebay and lo and behold there is one there for £299. In my size. Now I feel it's moving all a bit quickly really. So....
a) Do I just go for it?
b) Do I wait a few days - the auction has 17 days to run, and mull it over?
Landy Bridal do their version for 130 euros... should I go for their version instead?
I am so confused and am desperate for opinions - please please help!!

Hi becs!
I think I would mull it over for a few days to make sure that you are making the right decision. There is no panic to buy as you know that Landy can make it for you. The landy version is also much cheaper than the E-Bay one so I'd probably opt for that one anyway. Landy also do custom made dresses so you shouldn't have to get any alterations done - hopefully! Just my opinion tho!
Best of luck!

Hi Bec,
It sounds like you've found the "the one". If you absolutely love it then I'd get it off e-bay. It may be worth going to another shop to try on some other dresses then that will tell you if you really love the first one or not. If you do still love it after you try on others then go for it!
I would try and get the Ebay one, but set myself a budget ie £400. If it goes over that, then I would get the Landy one. As much as I love Landy (that's where my BM dresses are from), if I could get an original first at the right price then I would have that as first option.
Let us know what you decide

Is the one on E-Bay an original? If so then I agree with Sammy_Girl! If it's a copy then I'd seriously think about Landy, but it depends on whether you want pay £300 or spend half that and use the extra money on other things?

Is the size right? If not, remember dresses can only be taken in/let out so much. Maybe have a look on preloved.0

I had a Landy dress and having seen photos the embroidery on the original was similar but not the same. I didn't try on the original just loved the style rather than the detail.
If you have fallen in love with the detail and the embroidery on the original maybe try and find one within your budget as although a Landy one will be lovely it won't be the same and you may be disappointed.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

If the ebay one is an original and in your size then i would definitely go for that one.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
