Can't find a way out

As far as my car goes it actually saves money. For the days I use it, twice a week minimum for work, I would have to take train at peak times and that is around £60 rtn. For the other days when I only need tube, I walk and tube it.
£60 return for train to work????? You can get a train from Leeds to London and back for £60. Twice. So is this because you have to work somewhere else twice a week, or because you live somewhere else twice a week? If you are called upon to work a long way away twice a week, then your boss should be paying your expenses, whether this be petrol or train fare.
If it's because you live somewhere else 2 nights a week, then I can see why you'd want to keep your car, but perhaps at the moment this arrangment isn't viable, in that you need to be closer to work.
Getting rid of the car would pay off half of your payday loans, plus free up money you spend on insurance, servicing, tax and MOT (some of which you haven't accounted for on your SOA)
Also - I presume you work in London. Get a bike.My Debt Free Diary I owe:

Well done for taking the first step to sorting out your debts. Your situation may look dire but I for one owe far more than that and I am sure many others who use this site also owe huge amounts so you are not alone. You will find that once you have had that first conversation with the debt counselling agency it will feel like a weight has lifted from you and you can see a pathway through it all. It will probably take a few years to sort your debts out but you will get through it. Keep using this site for support and ideas along the way. Good luck. One life - your life - live it!0

sorry I didn't realise that I had to write what return journeys I do. I don't do same days travelling so cannot book in advance, my boss does give some torwards travel but it's a case of I knew what I was taking on when I signed my contract. If I don't travel I lose my job and I have nothing then.0

My heart goes out to you, really it does. Keep coming on this site though - you will get great help and advice here. I'm not much good at that, but definately look for cheaper house insurance. I have just got mine down from £208 for buildings & contents to £95 plus £25 cashback through Quidco.
Also, do you have a spare room that you could perhaps think about taking a lodger in which would be a great help?
Good luck. I am subscribing to your diary and wish you all the very best.0 -
Maddie you have not lost your life, or your dignity. You are in a tight spot and you need two grand, that's all. One day you'll laugh about this, although it doesn't seem so at the moment.
For you, bankruptcy might, MIGHT be the best option, although you should take good professional advice on this from someone like National Debtline in the first instance.
I'm sure you know this already but please don't take out another Payday Loan!My Debt Free Diary I owe:

I know, I am sorry. I'm just find this so hard and I am being defensive. I have lost everything, partner, dignity, life ..I don't mean to be so awful.
You regained that dignity the first time you hit this site. By posting that cry for help you were sending a message to say that you know you are in a pickle and are facing up to it like a grown-up. Yes it is tough baring your soul and your personal financial details to others but can't you see - we have all been there! Some of us are still struggling through it and will be for a few years yet. It's a combination of life events, easy access to credit, the media pushing a materialistic lifestyle at us, the banks and credit card companies falling over themselves to give us money, and, not the least, our own foolishness and lack of foresight that gets us into debt in the first place. We have all been idiots, but no longer. Welcome, maddiem, to the ex-idiots club, and stick with us on your journey to solvency. It will work out, and you will be the better for it. Here endeth the sermon, once more, good luck! One life - your life - live it!0 -
Non-medical advice - if GP says antidepressants, s/he may be right, however;
more effective when combined with counselling
have side-effects, you won't know if you can put up with them til you try them
are different, so one drug may not suit you but another will.
God bless. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
