Shortage of Nintendo DS Lite in White & Silver

I got a white Nintendo DS lite white with Brain training for a present for £99 in Oct 2008. Now I would like one for myself but all the deals are for the other colours, in fact a lot of the major sellers haven't had the white or silver in stock for a few weeks let alone include it in a bundle.

Is there a known shortage of white and silver ones? The prices seemed to increase just after I bought the first one. I was expecting them to come back down after Christmas, but they've not come down much.

Well anyone who wants a DS and is planning on getting one should really be waiting till the DSi is out i would say.

Thanks. I wasn't aware this was on the cards. Looking into I think I will wait, but probably 'cause the old ones will be cheaper. The extras are not worth the extra £60 for me.

Pluses

better speaker volume and sound quality.
0.3 megapixel camera and an audio player function (but cannot play wav or mp3 these will have to be ripped to ACC)
SD card slot

Minuses

Cannot play game boy advance games
Software is region locked:mad: (As Prof layton was £20 from the US when £60 here thats a big -ve for me)

do you have an asda by you?
i just got my daughters red and pink ones which caused me a bit of trouble(wanted asda as can get staff discount too) but both the two stores i got them from as well as others all had white in and a few had silver.....£95 or £96ish for the console itself altho they had dearer bundles too.
