Insulated flask for food

My wide-mouthed, stainless steel, insulated flask does not keep food warm for longer than about 2 hours, ie it's pretty useless for what I need. It's made by Hi-Gear.
I really need something in which to keep packed lunch soup hot for 4-5 hours, is stainless steel and easy to clean. Can anyone recommend anything that works?
Many thanks.

Mines exactly the same,
i`ve tried a food flask too but it`s no better.
I`ve just bought a proper thermos flask and this does the job well but i`m wondering just how long it will be before hubby breaks it.
I`ll be interested to see if anyone else has found something unbreakable that does the job. I need one that will keep soup hot for 7-8 hours and the thermos is the only one that i`ve found so far that does it.
Good luck.

My son has one of these for school

Although I have to say there's no way I would have paid that much for it. I paid £3.99 from our local hardware store!!
I make his lunch at about 8am and it's still warm at 1pm. Just heat the flask up for 5-10 mins with boiling water before you put the food in as it keeps hot for longer that way.xxx Nikki xxx0 -
I had this problem recently as was using one of those microwave flasks which only keep food hot for a couple of hours....by the time OH got to eat lunch at 12 it would be cold.
I now have a Stanley food flask...its a steel one....it is excellent and keeps food hot for about 6 to 8 hours at least..they are quite pricey at around 17 pounds but I needed one OH couldnt break:rolleyes:
I got it from Lakeland but they have them on Ebay too.0 -

Hi, I take soup every day to work for my lunch. I use a food (themos) flask made by Alladdin and it keeps food piping hot for hours. I make my soup at 7am and its still very hot at 1pm. Its a 1/2 litre flask with a spoon in the lid.
Got mine from Amazon by looking for 'food flask' and bought from Alladdin sales, cost £9.99 & £4 p&p. Looked all over elsewhere in shops for same flask for my daughter for Christmas and only place I could find was Amazon.
Thoroughly recommend the flask, have used mine for 18 months now and its brill!
cheers

Thanks for moving the thread PenelopePenguin and thanks for the recommendations everyone. It's really helpful to know of manufacturer's names of flasks that work - the costs of the ones you mention are big but I think an unbreakable expensive one would pay for itself fairly quickly when compared to the cost of soup from a shop or cafe.
Thanks again.0 -

Just remembered that whilst I was in TKMaxx the other week, I saw a Stanley Flask. Obviously, like in all TKMaxx shops, if it's there it's there, if it's not it's not.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0
