First national/Credit file...

I wrote to First Direct (HSBC) about the "default" still listed on my credit file, with copies of my BO and ED

they have replied:-

"We have forwarded your letter to Metropolitan Collection who are collecting the debt"

but the default is plainly First Direct, surely it is they who need to update experian, etc?

Hi Max - Oh the joys of cleaning up one's credit file! I'm not yet discharged but in 6 weeks, 6 days I'll be starting! Sorry I can't answer your question though.
