PRESS RELEASE

BOFFER SUPPLY DEAL TO BOOST NEXT SELL-OFF
We all know the story of a famous High Street retailer whose name begins with a "W" who has been on the brink of administration for a number of years; they finally succumbed and closed its doors to the public a few weeks ago. Thousands lost their jobs over night as administrators stepped in to manage the liquidation of the retail chain. But what happened to the tens of millions of pounds worth of stock that was on order from manufacturers importers and distributers that was winging its way to them by container ship, train, airplane and lorry. Stock which in the current climate no other retailer wants to buy.
It seems our friends at Churchill Palmer Mackenzie Asset management acquired it. They have just taken delivery of Several Hundred Lorries worth of stock which they are storing in 24 distribution depots across the country. CPM has chosen Boffer as their preferred ecommerce partner to liquidate part of the stock the stock. CPM has already trialed several products on Boffer on behalf of an unnamed high-street retailer and has been blown away by the volume of stock that the site has been able to sell in the space of 24 hours.
Boffer creator Oli Shields said "We are extremely excited to be working with CPM Asset Management. The business has a wide range of clients that will give us access to a significantly larger product range and bring greater value to our 75,000 registered members.
"This agreement will also allow us to provide a more extended range during our regular sell-offs which include home ware, games, toys, gardening equipment, DVD movies and sports and electronic equipment."
CPM Asset Management managing director Alfi Ariff added: "Boffer is a fantastic website that offers our clients the opportunity to dispose of vast amounts of valuable excess stocks quickly and effectively and discreetly.
The first of the stock supplied to boffer by CPM will be included in our sell off starting at 11.59pm on Sunday 15th of February.
Notes to Readers.
Churchill Palmer McKenzie (CPM) is a focused Asset Management and reverse logistics company, specializing in problem stock. Working in partnership with manufacturers, distributors and retailers CPM are a fluid conduit for excess, end of life, cancelled order s and distressed inventory.
Our aim is always to ensure the smoothest possible transaction from dormant problem stock gathering dust to a positive cash figure on the balance sheet!
Preventing Erosion of Existing channels and markets is absolutely paramount to us and CPM will always work outside of mainstream channels to liquidate stock.

just wondered what people's views on this????0 -
I got this too, what do people think?:rotfl:0

Sounds ok to me, cant wait to see whats going to be on offer.
Although last time I went in Woolworths I did notice how much tat they were selling, hopefully boffer will have some of the better stuff.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Its just Tat again.0

just wondered what people's views on this????
My views on it are that a group of mostly men with nothing better to do will stay up all night to buy electronic tat they don't need and boast about their adventures on internet forums including this one.
The now very wealthy owner of boffer, bigpockets, SVP and all the other connected brand names that uses this forum to advertise (and occasionally provides incentives to posters to publicise his business) will shift a lot of bankrupt stock.
I think people should go to bed. Those who don't should do as they like, but shut up about it on this forum at least. And if you feel you've been ripped off, keep it away from here.0 -

So if people do get a bargain from that bankrupt stock and save some money they shouldnt post it on a moneysaving site?
And if somebody gets ripped off they shouldnt post that either?
Why dont you PM Martin and ask him to shut the forums down if you dont like what people post?
I'll be looking in on the boffer sell-off, it'll probably be the tat that would still be sat on the shelves of Woolworths if they were still open (but hopefully at a better price) and I wont touch any of it, but its worth a look.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Well, way to practice what you preach there! :rotfl:
Why didnt you just post something like "Please ignore my post its irrelevent" instead of posting about a subject you yourself think people shouldnt post about?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Unless you are just looking for a pointless argument, to fill in the time before you can buy electrical kit you don't need but are looking forward to talking about at length. How many pink 512 MB mp3 players does a man need?0
