Valentines post not arrived :(

Am I wrong to expect Royal Mail to deliver a Valentines card on time ?
I sent a normal size card with a first class stamp to someone special and it hasnt arrived.(Does first class not mean first class anymore ?)

Thanks Royal Mail
You did it again.Happy Valentines day.

Hotfoot it round there with a single red rose, leave it on the doorstep with an enigmatic message, ring the bell and run away?

I realise that's not always possible. If you're some way away, do you know anyone you could trust to do this for you?

    Things could be worse.
My postman is now wanting to make a claim against me for the injuries he was caused by carrying such a heavy sack of cards to my house.

Same question as 'is it not wrong to expect Royal Mail to deliver post that has been paid for?' - we hardly ever get our post then perhaps get a whole load in one day from the past week or so. Someone else in our building complained about it, the postman thought it was us and threatened us that he would rip up our post, throw it away and other non delivery things if we ever complained again about him - we did explain that it wasn't us, but that didn't really matter to him

So we have a choice - either get no mail at all, or things hopelessly out of date (it's not usual to get letters several months late now). Royal mail are hardly going to move or sack someone just on one person's say so are they, (and quite rightly) so we are stuck with it - no-one wants to complain, as I'm guessing he's like this with everyone (I can't believe we are special).

Complete and utter rip off and con - but that's just typical for this country now.
Do not feed the trolls please.
  • Well we got a Christmas card delivered on Monday, so that says it all about Royal Snail in my opinion.

I ordered a card from moonpig on Monday and did not get it by yesterday. I re-ordered and selected Special Delivery, arrived this mornign thank god. I think in future I will do this on important days like today when I need something. Although lining their pockets further and even then not guaranteed, at least I feel that bit more relaxed

What do you define as 'on time'? (There's no such thing with normal first class)

When did you post it? Did you maybe post it too late?

    How far was it going?

1st class is not guaranteed for next day delivery unfortunately, the only guaranteed service is special delivery.

Royal mail do not even consider a letter lost for 15 working days.

well today we had a load of flowers from a large company for various addresses
unfortunatly all the address labels had been printed off centre so not all could be delivered down to incomplete addresses
