Ideas for pirate party

Hiya everyone,

Its is my 21st birthday in April and instead of going out (can't really afford it) I have decided to have a little house party. So anyway I dont really like to do this by half so have decided on a themed pirate party.

I've got a few ideas gunna make a big pirate flag to hang on the wall, n making some pirate chests (painted avon boxes) for bins to put around the room n got some pirate invitations, banner n cups from £1 shop, can anyone think of any other cheap ideas I could try for decorations???

Also wondered if anyone had any ideas for making my costume on the cheap and food/ cake ideas??

Oh and lastly games or entertainment around the pirate theme??

get some chocolate coins and matalan party shops also do cheap beads - so you could have a treasure chest. Why not do face painting on the night - I know you said it was your 21st but I think it would be fun!:p

Treasure hunt with clues and forfeits.

Plastic barrels (like cider ones with the tap on) filled with booze or concoctions!:D

Sweets in bowls like skulls, bones, eyeballs. That kind of thing.

Cringeworthy music like 'I am sailing' by Rod stewart, be creative.

Cake made into treasure map with X marks the spot theme.
