Melting chocolate for moulds?

Hi everyone,

I have some novelty silicone moulds and was wondering if you melt cooking chocolate do you have to add anything to it? I mean like margerine or oil? I heard something before about it but I want to check on here before I do it. If you have to add anything like margarine for example how much am I supposed to add?

Hope you can help:o

I don't think you need to add anything if you just want chocolate in different shapes. When set again they should be easy to get out of the moulds.

If you are making a topping for traybakes or flapjacks etc you can add syrup or marg. This keeps it softer so it doesn't crack when it's cut. Not good if you are trying to get a shape out of a mould.

    Have fun.....
