Hi, does anyone know if a universal oven door seal works as well as a 'genuine' seal? Price is vastly different, £28 for genuine and £8 for universal! Any advice appreciated.

Hi, Personally I'd opt for the manufacturer seal. Best of luck.

I would go for the universal at that price, they are often from the same manufacture, just one goes into a branded bag0

Thanks for the replies, I have an Ignis oven which is actually made by Whirlpool and some sights are selling Whirlpool genuine parts for the ignis. Will go for the universal I think as I can't see what the difference would be, a piece of rubber is a piece of rubber!0

HI
I too have an ignis oven and am sure that I have one seal missing!
Does yours have four or three seals on the main oven? ( model akl 335/01)
I would go for the universal seals too.0
